Expectations for rookies usually aren’t very high–unless that player is a top-five pick in their draft class. But, there are those rooks that have incredible impacts right from the jump. These five quarterbacks are the best of the batch.
Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers
Stats: 2,621 yards passing, 17 touchdown passes, 11 interceptions, 66.4 percent completion percentage
Roethlisberger only went 13-0 in his 13 starts for the Steelers in his 2004 rookie season. Undefeated in the regular season as a rookie. Couple that with a 98.1 quarterback rating, and a playoff win, and Big Ben easily played his way into the conversation for best rookie season by a quarterback.
