In the Dodgers’ 4-2 series win over the Chicago White Sox, Sherry finished all four wins for LA–getting the win in two of them and saving the other two.
1958 – Bob Turley (New York Yankees)
Turley didn’t have the best beginning to the World Series in 1958–giving up a leadoff home run in Game Two and lasting only one-third of an inning. But he turned things around with a complete game shutout in Game Five, recorded a 10th-inning save in Game Six, and came on in relief in the third inning of Game Seven–leading the Yankees to the title over the Milwaukee Braves.
