Winning the World Series is one way to create–or cement–a legacy for players and teams alike. But it takes a special performance to be named the Most Valuable Player of the Fall Classic. There have been some flat-out amazing playoff performances throughout MLB history, but just in case you don’t know who won the MVP in every World Series, we’ll break them down for you. We’ll look at the 1990s.
1999 – Mariano Rivera (New York Yankees)
In the 1999 World Series, Rivera tallied a win and two saves against the Braves. His second save clinched the World Series for the Yankees.
