Athletes injuries often lead to the end of their careers, because their season does not allow enough time to recuperate and return. The national pandemic, causing professional sports to come to a screeching halt, has allowed injured players to take the time to properly heal, giving more athletes like Atlanta Hawks’ forward and shooting guard, DeAndre’Bembry, a shot at playing when the NBA returns. Bembry had a non-surgical procedure performed on his right hand due to neuritis and was forced to sit on the sidelines during the last game against the Knicks, before the league’s hiatus. DeAndre’ will now most likely be back out on the courts when the Hawks return next season.
