Basketball is making a comeback! It has been announced that the NBA season will restart July 31 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. There will be 22 teams with eight games each to determine playoff seating for the possibility of a play-in tournament for the final spot in the Eastern and Western postseason fields. It has been nearly three months since the pandemic hit and this is a significant step towards resuming the season. There are still a lot of questions and concerns surrounding the return of the NBA. One thing for certain is the teams will be playing a shorter season, costing the players around $600 million in salary. The teams who didn’t qualify for the restart will sadly see their seasons come to an end. The teams who have qualified to continue their season will play somewhere between 71 and 75 regular season games once the final vote is approved.
