The season of baseball is underway in South Korea and Taiwan. All teams are hoping that they will be able to play a full 144-game schedule on the condition that if any player tests positive for COVID-19, there will be a three week pause. ESPN is broadcasting the International games Tuesday through Sunday once per day. Unfortunately, fans are not allowed to cheer on their teams from the stadiums, but some teams have found a loophole, allowing adorable substitutions: stuffed animals and cardboard cutouts. The athletes are missing the crowd motivation, and say it is almost unnerving how quiet the stadium has been, but are happy to be back out on the field.
