2011 – David Freese (St. Louis Cardinals)
Not only did Freese win the World Series MVP in 2011, but he also received the Babe Ruth Award for being the MVP of the entire postseason. Through the playoffs he set an MLB postseason record by knocking in 21 RBI. He kept the Cardinals season alive in Game Six against the Rangers–twice. First, he did this by belting a game-tying, two-run triple with the team trailing 7-5 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. In the 11th inning, he crushed a game-winning walk-off home run.
